Notes: All national files are in compressed format. Files are tab-delimited text, one line per record unless otherwise noted. Data are available for the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico unless otherwise noted. Population and housing unit counts are not included in these files. The Island Areas (American Samoa, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands) are not included in these files. The geography in these files matches the areas for which the 2020 Census data are published. Because of changes in boundaries and entity names, the creation of new entities, and the dissolution of others, users should not expect a one-to-one relationship between the entity names and codes in these files and the 2013-2019 American Community Survey, 2010 Census, Census 2000, or 1990 Census files. Nebraska has a unicameral legislature and the District of Columbia has a single council, both of which the Census Bureau treats as upper-chamber legislative areas for the purpose of data presentation. Therefore, there are no lower chamber state legislative districts provided for Nebraska or the District of Columbia.
